I saw a new show on IFC called “Dinner With The Band”. “Master Chef, Dave Mason”, has his favorite bands over to his bitchin loft and cooks for them while they bust out tunes on the upper level…it’s a pretty cool show.
Last night he had Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings…they KICKED ASS!!! Here they are performing one of the songs they did on the show last night called: “Let Them Knock”…it gave me chills!

Actually I was born down on 4th st, raised up on F and 4th!
Oh, and I absolutely feel the need to point his out to those of you not from Southie…or Boston for that matter…when you meet someone from Southie, don’t be an Ahssho and say: “You’re a Southie huh?” We are NOT “A Southie”, we are “From Southie”! How fuckin stupid are you!! If you’re from Los Angeles, would you say you were a Los Angeles? No, you wouldn’t! See how fuckin stupid that sounds!!!
You might say, you’re an Angeleno, or referring to someone from Southie, you might say, you’re a South Bostonian, or a Bostonian…but a Southie!!?? I don’t think so…pull your fuckin head out and get with the fuckin program…Ahssho!
