We didn&#039;t use our real names and were forced to use scripted replies instead of actually helping our customers.  We also worked full-time for a low wage, and were not paid any benefits, which is against the law.  They tried to get around this by calling us &quot;contractors&quot; which was clearly ridiculous and also not legally true. 

About your complaints: Each of the 10-15 reps in the office dealt with hundreds of complaints such as yours every day, meaning that we were getting up to 1000 of these complaints every day - I realized that these &quot;accidental&quot; non-cancellations were a deliberate and important income stream to Emusic.  I actually raised this issue with my supervisor, and I was fired about 2 weeks later, for a&quot;reason&quot; which I was never able to ascertain.  It was just supposed to be a temporary job to get me on my feet, which I had basically accomplished by that time, so I didn&#039;t really care.

The best thing you can do is dispute the charge with your credit card company.  The agents and lawyers at the CC companies give eMusic a hard time and they will, 99% of the time, cave in and give you a full refund, and it costs Emusic time and money to deal with these &quot;charge-backs&quot; as they are called.  Visa/Mastercard were particularly feared and we were instructed to issue refunds to those cardholders without a fight.  Some reps would stonewall you once or twice -- keep fighting, they will cave.

Not a company I&#039;d work for again or support.  Not good people.  Give em hell!</description>

		<description>I have a busy schedule and always forgets to download until the end the the month and is always too late. And the downloads do not carry from Mth to mth. So I decided to cancel it. Not to mention they always hold the top sonf of the album hostage. Unless you download the whole album , you can&#039;t have that 1 song. Really STUPID practice.
Traditionally the account have been charging on the 19th of the month. I Decided to download all my songs and get out on the 16th. And 2 mths later, I got a bill charging me another month of membership. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!.
So I called up the emusic customer reps and she claimed I had used the service AFTER the said date(which I haven&#039;t) and she said there&#039;s nothing she can do. Good thing membership have it&#039;s preveiledges  (No I don&#039;t work for American Express) but my trusty AE rep have cancel that out of my bill and stop them from billing me in the next 4 years)
Somehow when I cancelled my account the eMusic acct rep had stated that I was using the account after the cancelation date....Hmm bit of a double standard there. I call BS.</description>
