Update 12-9-09:
I just uploaded the pic of the pieces they removed from my skull in October…tiny little things that were floating around up there…I’m glad they stayed put!!
Ok, here’s the update to this, 11-22-09 (Happy Birthday Dawn! 
I had surgery on October 22nd, just realized, one month ago today, I was already at home from the surgery by this time…I asked the doc to save the shrapnel that he took out of my head…he had to send it to psthology first, but he told them to save it for me. I got a call from them about a week ago and they said they had my “hardware”…the pics are below…the one with the arrow pointing to it was the one sticking out of my head…I think.
When I had my motorcycle accident, they had to remove a blood clot from my brain, so I’ve had a plate on the left side of my head. It’s starting to protrude from my skull, check out the pic, it looks like a tiny Ninja Throwing Star. Looks pretty cool…I took that pic with my Crackberry!
I’m having surgery this morning, 10-22-09 at 7:15am…shaved my head last night…you can see the scar and where the plate is really clearly because of the lighting and shadows. Below are pics from before and after the recovery room:
